What do I do on “weird” transportation days? (Snow, 2-hour late start, etc)

Ask yourself what the bus is doing! If SWHS is NOT sending transportation, you are NOT expected to attend. If SWHS is sending transportation, you are expected to attend if it is safe. If SWHS is sending a bus but it is not safe from your area, CALL attendance and get excused.

Can I drive myself?

You are expected to ride the provided transportation. If you need to drive on a specific day due to a dentist/doctor appointment but don’t have valid permission on file, bring a parent note.

Can I ride with friends or let friends ride with me?

No. Please ride the bus.

If I drive myself can I stop to get lunch?

The bus is our timekeeper. If you arrive after the bus arrives, you are late and will not be excused.

When am I released from class?

Please follow the bus schedule.

What do I do on Wednesdays, since they are late start?

Please follow the bus schedule.

What do I do about lunches?

Please follow the bus schedule.

What do I do if I am sick?

If you will be absent from NCTA you need to have a parent call NCTA to excuse it. If you will be absent from SWHS you need to have a parent call SWHS to excuse it. The two schools’ Skyward systems do NOT connect to each other.

Can I check my NCTA and SWHS grades and email on the same Skyward?

The two schools’ Skyward systems do NOT connect to each other. You will receive a separate login from NCTA once your program begins.

Am I excused from Advisory/Homeroom because of NCTA?

No. You will still need to complete your Advisory/Homeroom assignments on CANVAS because they are a graduation requirement.
