The Sedro-Woolley School District provides bus transportation to and from the Northwest Career & Technical Academy. Students are expected to ride the bus for several reasons:

• Safety: School buses are the safest mode of transportation.

• Productivity: Riding the bus allows students additional time to rest, complete homework, and eat breakfast or lunch.

• Cost Savings: Using the bus helps save on gas expenses.

• Attendance: Students who ride the bus will never be marked tardy, even if the bus is late, as the bus serves as the official timekeeper.

Bus Transportation Start Date

Bus transportation coincides with Northwest Career & Technical Academy's first day of school. Buses will depart from the corner of 3rd and Bennett, on the south side of the Sedro-Woolley High School Main Office. Please refer to the attached Bus Schedule for specific times, and note the details for Late Start Wednesdays as schedules differ on those days.

Communication and Attendance

We need your assistance with communication! Both Northwest Career & Technical Academy and Sedro-Woolley High School use Skyward; however, the systems do not communicate with each other. This means that if a student has an excused absence at one school, the other school will not be notified. We appreciate the willingness of our shared students to accept the added responsibility of keeping all parties informed. This includes reminding families to call both the Sedro-Woolley High School and Northwest Career & Technical Academy attendance offices and being patient with any mix-ups.
