π¨ School Closure Alert π¨
Due to adverse road conditions, all Sedro-Woolley School District schools are closed today, February 6, 2025. This includes the cancellation of all field trips, after-school activities, and meetings scheduled for the day.
π¨ Road Conditions π¨
Our transportation crews have been out early this morning evaluating roads across our 395-square-mile district, and many of our routes remain unsafe for travel. While roads in some neighborhoods may seem passable, thatβs not the case everywhere in our district.
We appreciate your understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Thank you to our crews for braving the conditions to assess the roads, and to our community for your patience and support!
βοΈ Stay Safe & Help Keep Walkways Clear βοΈ
We encourage families to stay safe and warm. If you live within a mile of our schools, please consider clearing sidewalks to help ensure a safe path for students walking to school tomorrow. With temperatures staying low, the snow wonβt be melting on its ownβyour help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you for your support, and stay safe! πβοΈπ

π³ Mr. Zachary Popeβs Physics 111 class brought learning to life today by exploring circular motion with a hands-on bowling ball obstacle course in the hallway! Students like Ethan DeJong (who set the fastest timeβbeating Mr. Pope!) applied physics concepts to visualize centripetal acceleration in action.
Physics 111 is just one of many College in the High School (CiHS) courses offered at Sedro-Woolley High School. Through partnerships with Skagit Valley College, Central Washington University, and the University of Washington, students can earn college credits without ever leaving campusβall while staying involved in high school activities. Plus, with recent legislation, CiHS courses are now tuition-free!
