Exciting things happening at Cascade Middle School today! Our amazing student leaders are participating in a Sources of Strength peer mentoring training, focusing on finding and sharing the positive strengths in their lives and supporting one another.
This program helps students build resilience and recognize trusted adults who can offer guidance and support. Shoutout to Central Skagit Library staff for their support, and a huge thank you to the Sedro-Woolley RISE Coalition for funding this important work!

💃🕺 Families enjoyed vibrant performances by baile folklórico dancers, delicious food provided by the parent group, and the warmth of our community coming together. 🎉

Today was Taste Washington Day in the Sedro-Woolley School District. Students enjoyed fresh, local ingredients sourced by our amazing Food Services Department.
For breakfast, students were treated to fruit and yogurt parfaits with creamy yogurt from Grace Harbor Farms and berries from NW Berry Coop. Sedro-Woolley High School offered smoothies made with local strawberries!
At lunch, students dug into 100% beef hot dogs from Three Sisters Farm, crunchy rainbow carrots, crisp apples, and juicy pears—all grown right here in Washington.









The Sedro-Woolley School District is accepting nominations for the annual Sedro-Woolley School District Community Recognition Awards. We'd like to invite you to nominate individuals whom you think deserve any of the esteemed awards. It is a great opportunity to acknowledge the hard work, dedication, and innovation of those who have significantly impacted our community.
The nomination categories are:
• Hall of Fame — To honor SWHS students who excelled athletically, an individual who has achieved distinction as a former student-athlete.
• Hall of Fame — To honor SWHS students who excelled academically an individual who has achieved distinction as a former student.
• District-Wide Recognition — Acknowledge current exemplary efforts within the school system that goes beyond typical measures of accomplishment.
• Memorial Recognition — To honor posthumously an individual who has rendered outstanding service to the community or demonstrated loyal support for the Sedro-Woolley School District.
• Community Recognition — An individual who has rendered outstanding service to the community or demonstrated loyal support for the Sedro-Woolley School District.
To nominate a candidate, please complete the online form. We also want to thank you in advance for your participation in recognizing excellence within our community. We look forward to recognizing the recipients on February 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the Sedro-Woolley High School Auditorium.
