Did you know that there's a Skyward app for current families? While it doesn't have all of the functionality that browser access does, however, it is a great tool for on-the-go parents! Download by clicking one of the links below:

Definitions
Skylert: the area of Skyward Family Access where you can configure your notifications.
SchoolMessenger: a separate messaging system connected to Skyward that the district uses to broadcast the notifications.
Skyward Family Access is the Student Information System (SIS) that allows parents and students to view attendance; discipline and lunch account information/add money to your child’s account.
Each parent or guardian should receive a unique login and password from their student’s school when they register their student for the first time (current students do not need to re-register each year).

If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the forgot your password link to reset it.
If you have multiple students in the district, click the “Student Selection” box at the top of the page to choose a student in your household.
Click on Attendance to view tardies and absences.
Click on Food Service to view current balance, daily purchases, and to make a payment on your student’s Food Service Account. (Payments made in the office are posted the following business day.) Although meals are currently free for all, some students who pay for milk a la carte or who purchase an extra meal may have an outstanding balance.
Click on Discipline to view referrals and offenses.
Click on Skylert to manage Skylert subscriptions to receive general messages from the school. In the My Skyward contact info area phone numbers and email addresses are listed on the left. The corresponding check boxes on the right specify if you receive notifications. To receive General messages as text only, uncheck the General boxes in Grid #1 and check the General boxes in the Text Message Numbers area in Grid #2. Click SAVE!
**PRO-TIP: Parents and guardians can click on My Account to select weekly progress reports and grades to be emailed directly. Be sure and click save and these will be emailed to you each week!
Want to receive important messages via text? Follow these steps:
Login to Skyward. https://www2.nwrdc.wa-k12.net/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsedros71/seplog01.w
On the left side, click "Skylert".
Scroll down to "Text Message Info".
Add up to five phone numbers (standard rates may apply).
Choose which messages you want by checking the box in the appropriate column for each number.
School Hours Emergency: Any emergency that happens during the school day, including school closings or lockouts/lockdowns.
Non-School Hour Emergency: Any emergency that happens before school starts or after the school day ends, including school closings, delays or lockouts/lockdowns.
Attendance: Calls parents/guardians when a student is absent, and the school has not been notified of an excused absence.
General : General information from the district, building, or teacher.
Click "Save" at the top right before leaving.
By default, SMS text messages will NOT be sent unless you have opted in. If you would like to receive text messages, be sure to enter your phone number under the “Text Message Numbers” field and check the boxes of the types of text notifications you would like to receive. Enter only numbers, no special characters.

The Sedro-Woolley School District is hosting "Reading & Resources on the Field" from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22 on the Cascade Middle School playfields (905 McGarigle Road).
There will be 500 FREE backpacks stuffed with school supplies (thank you Inspire Church!).
Helping Hands Food Bank, the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club and other key organizations will be on hand to provide families with information about their services.
There will be fire trucks, police cars and Central Skagit Library will be there with information about their multitude of youth activities.

New student enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is available NOW.
Parents should be prepared to upload high-quality images of their child’s birth certificate and immunization records to complete the registration process. New students should be registered as soon as possible so we can plan for classes in September!

Step 1 (for families new to the district):
Create a Skyward Family Access (https://www2.nwrdc.wa-k12.net/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsedros71/skyenroll). Submitting this request will initiate an automated email with a link, login ID and password to the New Student Online Enrollment portal. If the parent/guardian does not have an email, you will have the option of adding your own login. A password is provided in the pop-up message when the account request is submitted.
Current Families who have new students to enroll:
Login to the Skyward Login Page (https://www2.nwrdc.wa-k12.net/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wsedros71/seplog01.w) using your established username and password.
Step 2 (for both NEW and CURRENT families): Once you have your login and password, log into the Skyward Login Page and click on the New Student Online Enrollment link on the upper left-hand corner of the page.
Families of incoming kindergarten students, or those new to the district should call the transportation department (360-855-3504) starting today, August 1, for 2024-2025 route information.
Parents should not wait until the last minute if their student is new to the district! Please alert the transportation department if your child will be riding the bus! Drivers will be learning new routes leading up to school, so alerting the department as early as possible is essential.
If your student will no longer be riding the bus or if your family has recently moved, please also alert the transportation department!

The Sedro-Woolley High School Girls Basketball Team will be hosting a community night on Monday, July 29, from 6–7 p.m.
The Woolley community is invited to attend and celebrate basketball! Tables with information about basketball for all ages will be set up at the event, including SWISH & Club Hoop. The night will include games, activities, crafts and prizes.

The district will offer free summer meals starting next week at Cascade Middle School and Mary Purcell Elementary School.
Meals will be served Monday through Thursday, July 29 to August 15.
Breakfast will be served from 9–9:30 a.m.; lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Meals must be consumed on site.
Anyone age 18 or younger may come to eat free of charge.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture partners with local school districts and organizations like the Sedro-Woolley School District each year to provide free meals to children when school is out for the summer.

Are you interested in becoming a bus driver for the Sedro-Woolley School District? Now's your chance! We're holding a bus driving class from August 19–24. Gain the skills and training you need to safely transport students.
Applicants should get their CDL learners permit before class starts. The Transportation Department has all the materials necessary to help interested applicants obtain their learners permit!
