📢 Reminder: Early Dismissal for Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday and Friday! 🕰️
Middle and high school students will be dismissed on Thursday and Friday at the following times:
• 10:45 a.m. instead of the usual 2:15 p.m. at Cascade Middle School
• 10:50 a.m. instead of the usual 2:30 p.m. at State Street High School
• 11 a.m. instead of the usual 2:30 p.m. at Sedro-Woolley High School.
If your middle or high school student normally gets dropped off at a specific time by one of our buses in the afternoon, here’s some examples of how to adjust that times backwards by about 3.5 hours:
If they're usually dropped off at 2:45 p.m., expect them home around 11:15 a.m.
If they're usually dropped off at 3:00 p.m., expect them home around 11:30 a.m.
If they're usually dropped off at 3:15 p.m., expect them home around 11:45 a.m.
Elementary dismissal is 12:30 p.m. for all seven schools, which means drop off times will remain 3 hours earlier than regular dismissal times.
If they're usually dropped off at 3:45 p.m., expect them home around 12:45 p.m.
If they're usually dropped off at 4:00 p.m., expect them home around 1 p.m.
If they're usually dropped off at 4:15 p.m., expect them home around 1:15 p.m.
We appreciate your flexibility and understanding during these important conference days.

Turn in work on time, ask teachers for extra help during Cub Academic Time at Sedro-Woolley High School, or look at their class syllabus to see when they’re available before or after school. There is zero shame in asking for help if you’re struggling in a subject. Encourage your students to ask their friends who are excelling to help them understand the subjects better. This can help both students grasp concepts in a deeper way.

🕰️ Don't Forget: Standard Time Begins overnight tonight (November 3 at 2 a.m.). Move your clocks back 1 hour!. Enjoy that extra hour of sleep! 💤

🍎 Taste Washington Day is Almost Here! 🍏
Taste Washington Day this Wednesday, October 2! This special day gives our students the chance to connect with our state’s rich agricultural heritage.
Sedro-Woolley School District's Food Services Department has been hard at work sourcing fresh, local ingredients to highlight on this special day.
For Breakfast:
🥣 All schools will serve fruit and yogurt parfaits made with creamy vanilla yogurt from Grace Harbor Farms in Custer and locally grown blueberries and raspberries from NW Berry Coop in Everson.
🍓 Sedro-Woolley High School will also offer smoothies featuring local strawberries from NW Berry Coop.
For Lunch:
🌭 Elementary schools and Cascade Middle School will enjoy 100% beef hot dogs with franks from Three Sisters Farm on Whidbey Island.
🥗 Coleslaw made with fresh cabbage and carrots from Ralph's Greenhouse in Mount Vernon.
🥕 Rainbow carrot sticks from Ralph's Greenhouse.
🍎 Crisp apples from Bellewood Acres in Lynden.
🍐 Juicy Bartlett pears from Whitestone Mountain Orchards in Tonasket.
