🎉 Join us in celebrating National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15. 🎉
We are proud to recognize the rich heritage of Hispanic Americans in our community and the many contributions they have made to American culture. During the 2022-2023 school year, 1,097 of the 4,602 students enrolled in our school district identified as Hispanic/Latino. It is essential to acknowledge the vital role that Hispanic Americans have played in shaping our nation's history, art, music, language, and traditions.
We encourage everyone to take time this month to learn more about the history, culture, and achievements of Hispanic Americans.
Happy National Hispanic Heritage Month! 🇲🇽🇵🇷🇨🇺🇩🇴🇪🇨🇸🇻🇭🇳🇨🇱🇦🇷🇨🇴

September is Attendance Awareness Month. 📚👩🎓👨🎓 Attendance is crucial to academic success, not only for the absent student but for the entire classroom, team, or after-school club. 🚫👻 🔍👥 🚸📉 Students who miss just two days a month for any reason are more likely to struggle with reading and less likely to graduate. Let's work together to prioritize attendance and help all students succeed! 💪🏼🎓

📣 Our transportation department is launching a new messaging app called Traversa Ride 360 that will make it easier for parents/guardians of bus riders to access their child's bus schedule/routing information, including bus stops, routes, and bus numbers. Traversa Ride 360 can be accessed via https://WASedroWoolleySD10.myridek12.tylerapp.com/ or by mobile app (download “Traversa Ride 360” from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store) and is free to download and use.
The transportation department will be offering in-person support tonight at the Reading & Resources on the Field event (6–7:30 p.m. at Cascade Middle School).
Students who have not been added to an existing route will need to be added by the transportation department PRIOR to parents/guardians downloading the app.
Parents/guardians will need to use their student ID# and current grade level to add their student to the app.
Families can also contact the transportation department for ongoing support during regular business hours: 360-855-3504 or jzimmerman@swsd101.org.
User guides and more information is also available on Sedro-Woolley’s new website at https://www.swsd.k12.wa.us/page/traversa-ride-360.
