The Sedro-Woolley School District is proud to recognize the 2024-2025 Outstanding Employees of the Year. All recipients will be notified over the next few weeks and the group will be recognized at the School Board Meeting on June 9. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. at 801 Trail Road, where each honoree will be presented with a plaque in appreciation of their dedication and contributions.
We invite the community to join us in celebrating these exceptional employees who make a difference in the lives of our students and schools every day!
We are excited to announce Dave Shusta, Math Teacher Extraordinaire at State Street High School, as the Outstanding Employee of the Year!
Dave has gone above and beyond in his role this year, consistently demonstrating a selfless, reliable commitment to the success of his students and school community. He has been incredibly flexible, taking on any class or task that was needed, and even adding additional courses to his already busy schedule without hesitation.
As a Teacher in Charge, Dave has proven to be a natural leader, offering valuable insights as an active member of the School-Based Leadership Team (SBLT). His willingness to support his colleagues and step into leadership roles exemplifies his dedication to the success of State Street High School.
Dave is the epitome of a team player, always willing to do whatever is necessary to help his school and students succeed. His reliability and hard work make him a truly deserving recipient of this award.
Congratulations, Dave, for being an invaluable asset to our school community! 👏🎉
