PARKER NELSON has been named May Student of the Month for the Rotary Club of Sedro-Woolley. He is the son of Tony and Janá Nelson of Big Lake. Parker maintains a 3.64 GPA while being actively involved in Sedro-Woolley High School. He has been a member of the SWHS Trap Shooting team 4 years in a row, lettering all 4 years. During this trap shooting season, he placed 1st for Sedro-Woolley and 2nd at Districts. Parker has participated 4 years on our Varsity Boys Soccer team, lettering all 4 years. He currently attends Skagit Valley College (SVC) as a Running Start student. Parker has earned an Academic Excellence award each quarter at SVC. Outside of school, Parker enjoys spending time with his friends and family, hunting, fishing, working out, and being outside as much as the weather permits. He bucks hay in the summer along with doing landscaping work. Parker attained the rank of Eagle Scout at the age of 16, which is a continuing tradition as a fourth-generation Eagle Scout alongside his brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. After graduation, Parker will be attending Washington State University (WSU) to major in Mechanical Engineering. He will also be graduating from SVC this June, with a transferable Associate's Degree of Science, which will start him as a Junior at WSU. Congratulations Parker!

Rylan was awarded a Leader in Sportsmanship Award for the Northwest Conference in 2023. Outside of school, Rylan enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing softball, playing soccer, hiking, camping and playing with her dog. She has grown up participating in youth softball and soccer, and now spends her extra time helping coach these young athletes. Rylan currently works at Railroad Pub & Pizza as a server.
